Cat Friendly Practice
The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) recognizes that cats have a variety of unique challenges when brought into a veterinary practice. So the AAFP have established a program to help veterinary practices meet the needs of our furry felines. An extensive assessment is done at the veterinary practice to ensure they are meeting qualifications.
The program equips practices with the tools, resources, and information to elevate the treatment, handling, and overall healthcare of cats. Taking advantage of a Cat Friendly certified practice can improve preventative care, client education, and detection of early signs of disease.
In 2016, Lifetime Veterinary Clinic became a certified Cat Friendly Practice. We have gone through the process of touching up our hospital to create a less stressful environment for your cat. For example, we now have separate kennel rooms AND exam rooms for our feline and canine patients. Our staff have gone through training to elevate the emotional and physical care of your cat. Our staff aim to give the highest level of feline health care to minimize stress during exams, procedures or hospitalizations.
